Continuing to clean out the train closet.
For bid is an Oriental Limited RPO / Baggage Car, 70 foot, built by AC&F for the Great Northern's Empire Builder. Similar cars were also used by the Northern Pacific and the M-K-T and likely many others.
The model is unpainted brass, and is listed as a car body only.
Please Note:
I bought this brass car at a train show, intending to redo it as a M-K-T car. The brass body and floor include the brass bolsters for truck mounting, but is missing the insulation, plastic screws and the female part of the "dress snap" type mounting for the original trucks. To operate the car you will need to address this issue and make new bolsters or add new trucks. (see photos)
The original trucks are included but are not mounted to the body. They aren't very free rolling. Ready to run plastic trucks from Walthers or Branch Line Models would probably perform better and eliminate insulation issues.
The model will be shipped in its original box, foam is in good condition.
