The Bircraft company (
located half mile down the road from where I live
) was started in 1945 by a gentleman making his wife a gift from an airplane window. It reached great popularity during the 1950's until recently closing it's doors. The gift line was popular at Elvis Presley's Graceland giftshop and it took 6 months to 1 year to learn the art of making Bircraft which is made in Huntington, Indiana.
The company has ended production and i have had the opportunity to purchase unique and unusual pieces of the new old stock and more modern pieces recently. I will be listing these beautiful items which gives people a chance to purchase a piece of history and handmade quality that is hard to find in today's world. Bircraft was the only place in the world where acrylic internal carving and coloring was done on a production basis where no two pieces are exactly alike.
