ANTIQUE USA NEW MARTINSVILLE RUBY RED GLASS BOWL STERLING OVERLAY c1910 perfect

Description

An Antique American glass bowl of an especially deep ruby red color. It has an engraved sterling silver overlay design in the interior and also capping the shaped rim. The bowl has 2 elegant handles, a central division and a lovely molded shaped exterior with a fine finished flat  base. The New Martinsville Glass company started business in 1902 and this bowl has one of their early elegant sterling silver overlay designs centrally featuring the basket of roses. Viking took over in 1940 and closed in 1990s.
This bowl has been well cared for and is clean and in perfect condition.
The size is 6" in diameter, 8 1/4" handle to handle and 2" in depth.
An inveterate collector of elegant things, I am retired and downsizing.
