An Antique Solid Brass, Doctor's Office Sign, W. Libertson, M.D., from an Estate Sale in Rochester, N.Y.
This solid brass sign is in great condition, with a nice original patina, showing only minimal wear (a few little scratches and one slightly rounded over corner along one bottom edge). Somewhere along the way someone obviously thought it would be a good idea to apply white paint to the lettering (easily removed). I'm sure the lettering was once highly polished brass. There are two threaded holes in the top edge and two in the bottom edge to facilitate hanging from threaded rods.
The solid brass sign is heavy, weighing in at 11 pounds 6 ounces (before packing). Actual dimensions are 21 7/8" long, 6 1/8" high, slightly less than 1/2" thick. The sign should fit in a large flat rate priority box.
