    Description

    Here is an excellent condition,
    1976 Georg Bolin "Alpha"
    Concert Classical Guitar.
This is a top level concert classical guitar. It was hand-built by Georg Bolin in his Stockholm, Sweden workshop. Every Bolin instrument is unique and given an individual name. The consistent elements of his guitars are Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides with a Spruce top.
This guitar was clearly named Alpha for good reason. It has power and sustain not found in many classical guitars, regardless of price. This guitar could never be mistaken for any other instrument.
This hand crafted guitar was built using solid Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides, a five piece neck of Mahogany, Maple and Rosewood for tremendous strength. The top is made with fine European Spruce. The head stock cap is made using bookmatched Brazilian rosewood and the outer bindings are Maple and rosewood with Ebony for the outer layer. The rosette is Georg Bolin's design for this time period.
This guitar has been refurbished using nitrocellulose lacquer on the top, back and sides to remove minor surface blemishes. There were no cracks in the top, sides or back of this guitar.
Scale length on this guitar is 658 millimeters. Nut width is 54 millimeters. The ebony fretboard is in very good condition. Action on the 12th fret low E string is 3.5 millimeters and the 12th fret high E string measures 3.0 millimeters.
The guitar has just been refretted, including the zero fret, to restore it's intonation and make playing easy as it was when new.
This guitar is equipped with its original Silver Fish Scale Landstorfer tuning keys with Rosewood buttons made by Bolin. They are in very good condition and still hold tune well.
The signed original label is in excellent condition. It is designated as "Alpha."
The guitar will be carefully packed and shipped in a good condition hard shell case.
